Mount Pantokrator

Mount Pantokrator is the highest peak of Corfu mountains at 900 meters and is characterized by lush pinewoods and green meadows. Travelers can reach its summit on a pleasant excursion going through Spartilas and Strynilas villages: they may either rent a car or walk across valleys and hills, if they like doing sport. At the top, besides enjoying a wonderful view that stretches to Albanian coasts, it is possible to visit the Monastery of Pantokrator. The monastery, a pilgrimage destination in August, is a Medieval building deeply altered during the 17th century.
