Stelios Panagiotopoulos was born in Athens in 1977. He graduated with honours from the Preparatory and Vocational School of Fine Arts of Tinos where, during his studies, he won two awards in marble sculpture. He was introduced to the Athens School of Fine Arts on a scholarship where he graduated with honours having as a teacher G. Houliaras. During his studies he won two praises for his productivity in sculpture. Some of his works of art were distinguished in Italy with the awards: “Michelangelo Award 2015” Vatican, Rome and “Dante Alighieri 2017” Garda, Italy. He has presented the solo exhibitions “Becoming” at the Gallery Kaplanon 5 in 2010, “The Vessel Neraida” at Santorini Arts Factory in 2014 and in 2016 at the Old Town Hall of Glyfada. In 2016 he exhibited seven (7) artworks of the same series at the Neraida Floating Museum. He has taken part in many group exhibitions. His works of art are held in private collections in Greece and abroad. He lives and works in Athens where he owns a sculpture workshop. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
