Andreas Kalakallas is an Archaeologist and a Sculptor. He studied sculpture at the School of Fine Arts with G.Houliaras and N.Tranos as his teachers. He is a PhD at the School of Architecture Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. Since 2014 he teaches at the School of Architecture Engineering of the National Technical University as a Laboratory Teaching Staff (ΕΔΙΠ). He has earned the distinction Chevalier de l’ordre from the organization Fondation Europeene. In the category “Innovation in Art” he received the first prize with his artwork “Wanderers 2015” (“Περιπλανώμενοι 2015”) at the fifth International Conference on Architecture entitled “Conference on Architecture” in Serbia in December 2017. He has participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. His works of art are held in private collections and in ministries in Greece and abroad. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and member of the sculptors society of Greece.
