«POLYSEMi», Stakeholders meeting

The Stakeholders Meeting of the Cross-Border Project entitled: “Park of Literary Travels in Greece and Magna Graecia” and with the acronym “POLYSEMi”, which is implemented through the European Cross-Border Cooperation Program Interreg “Greece-Italy 2014-2020”, was completed on Friday, July 24th, 2020 at 11:00 am, in the meeting room of the Region of Ionian Islands, in Alykes Potamou,

The meeting was attended by representatives of the partners of the project and stakeholders from Institutions and the Region of Ionian Islands, either live or online via Skype, depending on their availability.

Speakers of the meeting were:

  • Mrs. Chrysanthi Aspioti from the Department of Development Planning of the Region of Ionian Islands and Head of European Programs, who referred to all the actions undertaken for the project by the Region of Ionian Islands,
  • Mrs. Penelope Mitsi, Antenna Officer of the INTERREG V-A Program “Greece-Italy 2014-2020”, who made a brief presentation of the European Cross-Border Cooperation Program Interreg Greece-Italy 2014-2020 and
  • Mr. Phivos Mylonas, Associate Professor of the Ionian University, who was the keynote speaker at the meeting and referred to the actions and goals of the Ionian University in the framework of the POLYSEMi project and made a detailed presentation of the official networking platform of all stakeholders.

The networking platform is the most basic tool of the POLYSEMi project and is linked to the overall goal of the project which is the cross-border creation of a “Park of Literary Travels in Greece and Magna Graecia”, with the development of sustainable and seasonally adapted literary tourism. interested in the identity of the places of Puglia and the Ionian islands.
