The Polysemi Project, born from an idea of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, which is the lead partner with the Department of "Letters, languages, arts. Italian Studies and Comparative Cultures ”, has been carried out in cooperation with four other partners: the Municipality of Taranto, the Department of Computer Science of the Ionian University – Research Commission of Corfu, the Ministry of Culture and Sport and the Region of the Ionian Islands. Polysemi has been co-financed by the European Union, through the 2014-2020 Greece-Italy Cooperation Program.During the Final Conference, each partner will present the results of the activities carried out within the project, including the web portal that can be visited at www.polysemi.di.ionio.grThe goal of the Polysemi project has been the creation of an innovative cross-border literary park called "Park of literary journeys of Greece and Magna Graecia" (Polysemi), with which to enhance the places visited and traveled by many visitors of all times – poets, storytellers , essayists, but also artists in the broadest sense of the term – who have traveled between the two coasts and have returned the image in their works. The project therefore has been characterized by the strong purpose of organically connecting the study of the places of Greece and Magna Graecia (through literature, art, history, landscape, material culture, folklore) with the development of a tourism model, cultural and literary sustainable and seasonally adjusted, interested in grasping the profound identity of places, in the footsteps of traveling writers. In this way, Polysemi intended to exploit the evocative power of travel-related literature to actively participate in the economic growth of the territory while respecting an immaterial cultural heritage of immeasurable value. In the perspective of survival with respect to the conclusion of the project activities, the main objective of the Polysemi Park is also to favor the economic and social development of the area concerned, leveraging the direct and indirect benefits that the park can generate, both by increasing of cultural and literary tourism both by improving overall the quality and sustainability of the tourist use of the territories involved and the living conditions of the citizens of the territories concerned. After the greeting of the Rector of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Prof. Stefano Bronzini, the Director of the Lelia Department, Prof. Davide Canfora, and the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Taranto, Mr. Simone Marchesi, the members of the Italo-Greek partnership will speak to illustrate completed activities and development prospects for the Park and the Polysemi portal.Attached is the poster of the meeting.Ufficio Stampa – Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro Vittorio Bisceglie +39 080 5714010 vittorio.bisceglie@uniba.itRegione Puglia – Joint Secretariat Communication Officer Carmela Sfregola +39 3493916007 c.sfregola@greece-italy.eu ; press@greece-italy.eu—————————————————————————————————–The 2014-2020 Interreg VA Greece-Italy Cooperation Program has as its main objective the definition of a cross-border growth strategy between Puglia and Greece (Epirus, Western Greece and the Ionian Islands), aimed at developing a dynamic economy based on smart, sustainable and inclusive systems to improve the quality of life of the citizens of these regions. The Program has a financial endowment of 123,176,896 euros, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by the two member states (Italy and Greece) with a national share of 15%.www.greece-italy.eu www.polysemipark.eu …

Dialogues of the Sea: art to cooperate“Dialogues of the Sea”Exhibition of twelve paintings by the artist Giulia NapoleoneMultifunctional Center for Students of the University of Bari Aldo Moro28 September-10 October 2020The exhibition of twelve paintings by Giulia Napoleone will take place at the atrium of the Multifunctional Center for Students of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, from 28 September to 10 October 2020. The exhibition, entitled “Dialogues of the sea”, is part of the activities organized within the Italy-Greece Interreg 2014-2020 cooperation project, called Polysemi and aimed at creating a “Park of literary travels in Greece and Magna Graecia”.The Polysemi Project, born from an idea of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, which is the lead partner with the Department of “Literature, Foreign Languages, Art. Italian Studies and Comparative Cultures”, is carried out in cooperation with four other partners: the Municipality of Taranto, the IT Department of the Ionian University – Research Committee of Corfu, the Ministry of Culture and Sport and the Region of the Ionian Islands. Polysemi is co-financed by the European Union, through the 2014-2020 Greece-Italy Cooperation Program. The exhibition is expressly linked to the theme of the sea, as the title itself warns, to the territorial and cultural element that most determined the activities of the Polysemi Project, starting from the writings linked to the experience of the travel between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, the first start to the conception of the Park. The exhibition “Dialogues of the Sea” hosts twelve works in oil on canvas, of the same size (1m x 1m): works that will certainly remain impressed on the visitors of the exhibition space in which they are placed because, together with all the production of Giulia Napoleone, they know how to involve the gaze and the mind. Twelve “measures of memory” – according to what we read in all the titles of the works – which establish an intrinsic and profound relationship between space and time.At the inauguration of the exhibition, Prof. Stefania Zuliani of the University of Salerno will speak, after the greetings of the Rector of University of Bari Aldo Moro, Prof. Stefano Bronzini, the Director of the Lelia Department, Prof. Davide Canfora, the project manager of Polysemi, Prof. Giulia Dell’Aquila; the artist, Giulia Napoleone will be present.Attached is the poster of the exhibition and the inauguration.Ufficio Stampa – Università degl …
